Proponent: 16JVrgg7t6m5UXAtDBM7jYp9XjAxALRVFP6GuKVFmi9HLw8d (Batman, Polkadot) Date: 1 May 2025 (proposal submission date), June-September 2025 (expected timeline) Requested Amount: $130,000 (see Payment Details)

Short description: This proposal upgrades DotCodeSchool’s publishing system by replacing the current Contentful-based CMS with a fully open-source, Git + MDX workflow.

It enables community members to propose, preview, and publish tutorials through GitHub, while decoupling the frontend and automating deployments. The result is a scalable, contributor-friendly platform that invites open collaboration and simplifies long-term maintenance.

For details please see the full proposal here.

I voted NAY because Dotcodeschool is overprice development with very low commit (you can check the codebase) and extremely low in distribution. Paying for this simple development 250k$ (last tranche and this tranche in combined) is so damn wild. Frankly our team has been following this case for awhile, we followed the github to see if things change and the project being pushed with more courses, etc etc and more distribution to developers community.

But unfortunately All I see has been a simple app being built and waiting for someone to pick up and do what they want.
