When Moonwell Artemis was launched on Moonbeam it quickly surpassed the $100 Million in milestones. While the whole ecosystem was increased by 250% in just 24 hours of its launch. It then made its entry into the Polkadot Ecosystem.

The development of Moonwell Moonbeam Artemis is given to Lunar Technology Foundation. While its sibling Moonwell Apollo had been somewhat the same success as Artemis. Moonwell Artemis is deployed on the Moonbeam platform. But why Moonbeam? What Makes It so Special? Moonbeam is the very first Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). This EVM is compatible with the parachains on Polkadot. Moonbeam combines the best of two different ecosystems.

* It includes the Polkadot scalability and Interoperability.

* It also consists of Ethereum Ease-of-use and the vast and talented developer community.

Moonwell Artemis offers a whole new world of possibilities. You can simply park your assets in the protocol and the platform will benefit you with rewards. The riskier you play, the more leveraging rewards you get.

## **Crust Network - Functions**

Now that you know every little detail about the Crust Network, it is time to discuss how the ecosystem works and how can different nodes participate to make up the whole system.

## **Candidates:**

The first way to join the network is by becoming a candidate. They are elected as the network verifiers. They are also the nodes that are responsible for providing storage resources. To become a candidate, one must have to stake a certain amount of CRU tokens and always keep their nodes online. You won't participate in block generation but through every block cycle, you will receive your rewards.

## **Verifiers:**

They are the main asset of the crust network. They won't only have to have a certain amount of CRU and a storage resource that is powered up all the time but they will also need to secure data and provide privacy. In other words, they will also need to generate new blocks.

## **Guarantors:**

They are the nodes that are not stakers but will help in providing guarantees to the nodes. In simple words, they will need to assign their storage resources to other nodes and thus will earn guaranteed income.

## **Users:**

On the last, we have "Users". The accounts will be using all of the data resources such as storage and computing.

## **How to Buy Crust?**

## **审核XCMv2**

**The Nomad Bridge:**

To easily transfer assets between Moonwell Artemis, and Ethereum, the development team implemented the “Nomad Cross-Chain Bridge”. With this bridge, you can easily swap your assets, even in the Moonbeam networks. You can transfer assets between GLMR, xcDOT, wETH, wBTC, USDC, and Frax. Hopefully, in the future, this list will extend even more.

Just a mild note that assets sent over the Nomad Bridge will be called bridged versions of the assets. Like wETH.mad, USDC.mad, and wBTC.mad. Well, every .mad extension defines that these assets were bridged. Another trick is that if you could connect Nomad to a standard bridge of inter-change communication, the transfer of tokens and data will become even cheaper and more secure. So, don’t forget to give it a try, once you master Moonwell Artemis.

**Is It A Good Investment?**

Now That you know almost everything about Moonwell Artemis, you would be wondering: Is it a Good Investment? And the answer is simply, Yes! It is the best investment opportunity. But before I add up more information about it, just know that investing in cryptocurrencies is a risky topic. So, do it at your own risk.

The reasons behind its huge success are The integrations, projects underheld, collaborations, and most importantly an active vibrant development team. ## Validator Node Snapshot

First of all, you can get a snapshot copy for RocksDB type on the following website based on region. This included Kusama, Polkadot and Testnet Westend.

**1 - What is a snapshot?**

As validators’ node can crush and affected the APY of the Staking, it is very important to validator to restore the node as soon as possible. Else, you will be losing your nominators.

The main purpose of the snapshot is to allow specific restoration of the validator’s infrastructure from taking 10-11 days to sync (it was 4 days when I started validation) complete the chain in Kusama or Polkadot. The restoration will allow the team to reduce the gap of the sync from 11 days to nearly somewhere 2 - 6 hours of waiting time.

Isn’t that like GREAT ???

**2 - Is this for me?**

This works only for RocksDB, as parityDB is still under experimented, even on the latest 0.9.25 release, the paritydb stream have more problems than the rocksdb. This is pruned-1000 DB for validators only. **If you are a new validator, I will suggest to use RocksDB.**

If you think that this is for you, then please assure that you did the following installation on your node.

**2 - Next question, what do I need to know to restore?**

At this moment, either you are using a physical node, virtual node or a container node. Your data is sitting on a specific path that varies depending on your node configuration. As example:

* /home/polkadot/.local/share/polkadot/chains/polkadot

* /root/.local/share/polkadot/chains/polkadot

* /home/data/.local/share/polkadot/chains/polkadot

* /home/lucasyoda/.local/share/polkadot/chains/polkadot

As a validator, you are supposedly to know where the path is, but as a beginner, you may have difficulties to find it, when you start your node.

为此，Polkadot和Kusama中继链、Statemint、Statemine、Shell和任何其他基于Substrate/Frame的链及其XCM引擎，都保留了Statemine远程链所支持的跨共识信息格式（XCM）版本的登记册。每当通过这些链发送XCM消息时，首先通过查询其登记册来确定发送消息的版本。它将消息转换为发送方和接收方支持的XCM旧版本。对于保持最新状态的链来说，大多数情况下，这些都是相同的、最新发布的版本，从而提供了XCM的完整功能集。

这个登记册通常是由治理过程决定和升级的，过程有点繁琐，特别是随着潜在目的地数量的增加，因此引入了版本跟踪功能。

## **版本协商**

版本跟踪是跨共识信息格式（XCM）版本化之谜的最后一部分。其功能是删除跟踪潜在目标链的XCM版本所需的任何链外或治理流程。与其功能相反，这个过程是在链上自主进行的。

## **执行模型**

## **权重**

此处没有对权重进行计量，但考虑到XCVM程序最终采用低于最坏情况下权重预测的可能性，有一个称为剩余权重寄存器 (Surplus Weight Register)的寄存器来处理。大多数指令不会接触到它，因为我们可以准确预测将使用多少权重。然而在某些情况下，最坏情况下的权重预测是高估的，只有在执行时我们才知道具体是多少。当用XCM消息的高估权重来计算区块执行时间时，跟踪原始权重的高估量并从账目中减去，使链上的区块执行时间配额得到优化。

因此，剩余权重寄存器对区块执行时间核算是有用的，但它本身并不能解决另外一个确保支付金额不被高估的问题。为此，我们需要一个与BuyExecution相配套的指令，该指令将任何剩余的权重予以退还。这个指令是存在的，叫做RefundSurplus。它还利用了第二个寄存器，称为退还权重寄存器，以确保同一剩余权重不会被多次退还。

## **流量控制和异常情况**

到目前为止，在我们对XCVM的处理中还有两个隐式寄存器，仍然需要对其进行了解。首先是程序寄存器 (Programme Register)，它存储当前执行的 XCVM 程序。其次是程序计数器 (Programme Counter)，它存储当前执行的指令索引。当程序寄存器更改时，计数器重置为零，在每个成功执行的指令结束时增加一。

这个功能本身并不那么有用，但如果与错误情况结合起来就会很有用。此时，任何尚未执行的指令的权重被添加到剩余权重寄存器。错误处理寄存器被清空，其内容被放入程序寄存器，程序计数器重置为零。简单地说，我们丢弃当前的程序，开始执行错误处理程序。因为没有清除附录寄存器，所以除非它被错误处理程序重置，否则将在成功完成后执行。

由于其组成结构，该功能允许错误处理程序的任意“嵌套”：如果需要，错误处理程序可以有自己的错误处理程序，附录也可以有自己的附录。

存在两条指令允许对这些寄存器进行操作，分别是SetAppendix和SetErrorHandler。其中一个设置附录寄存器，另一个设置错误处理程序寄存器。其中每个参数的预测权重都比其参数的权重略大。但是在执行时，即将遭替换的寄存器中XCM消息的权重添加到剩余权重寄存器中，从而允许回收任何附录或错误处理程序未使用的权重。

Trap导致最后的DepositAsset被跳过，取而代之的是运行错误处理程序的DepositAsset，将 1 DOT（减去执行成本）置于parachain2000的所有权之下。我们总是倾向于在错误处理程序代码的开头使用RefundSurplus，因为如果它正在运行，我们知道使用的预测权重（以及因此购买的权重）很可能是高估的。

# **错误报告**

能够引入代码来处理错误是非常有用的，但有一个要求的功能是能够将XCM消息的结果反馈给原发送端。我们在上一篇文章中见到了QueryResponse指令，它允许一个共识系统将一些信息反馈给另一个，剩下的就是能够以某种方式将XCM的结果插入QueryResponse中，并将其发送给希望被告知结果的一方。

事实证明，只有一条指令能执行此操作，即ReportError。它通过使用我们尚未接触过的错误寄存器来工作。错误寄存器是一种可选类型（可以设置或清除）。如果已进行设置，则它包含两条信息：数字索引和XCM错误类型。

现在我们应该清楚地了解ReportError指令的工作原理：它只是用错误寄存器的内容组成一个QueryResponse指令，并将其发送到特定目标。当然，在它之前发生的任何错误都会导致指令被跳过，因为执行时首先跳转到错误处理寄存器的代码，随后跳转到附录寄存器的代码。然而，解决这个问题的方法很简单：将ReportError放在附录中可以确保它被执行，而不管主代码是否导致执行错误。

## **Cross-Chain Integration Plans**

The provision of a simple method for developers to utilize smart contracts to interface with other chains in the Polkadot ecosystem is one of the main features that Moonbeam has planned.

In order to ease communication across parachains on the Polkadot network and exchange trusted logic between chains on the Polkadot network, known as shared protected runtime execution enclaves, Polkadot offers a low-level integration protocol called cross-chain message passing (XCMP) (SPREE). In addition to adopting XCMP, Parity is also developing SPREE. The Polkadot relay network will get updates that include XCMP and SPREE capabilities after the mainnet launch of Polkadot. When these protocols are available, Moonbeam intends to create and enable integration scenarios based on them.

## **Use of Cross-Chain Integrated System**

Moonbeam is a platform for smart contracts that enables developers to create cross-chain apps that have access to people, resources, and services on any chain. Moonbeam resolves today's fragmented user experience by combining features from Ethereum, Cosmos, Polkadot, and more into a single platform, unleashing genuine interoperability and opening the door for the following generation of apps.

The Moonbeam platform enables developers to write smart contracts that access services across several distant blockchains by utilizing integrated cross-chain communications. The optimum development environment for creating connected apps is created by this strategy in combination with Moonbeam's developer-friendly EVM platform, extensive tool support, and cutting-edge Substrate architecture.

## **Integration with Other Polkadot-Based Chains**

The first option, in which we are most interested, entails enabling the conversion of tokens from other chains into Moonbeam-based tokens, enabling their use in DeFi and other platform applications. After finishing their task, these assets might depart or return to other chains.

## **Uses of Liquid DOT**

### There are various use cases to engage in after staking DOT and obtaining LDOT:

**Mint aUSD**

To mint a USD, use your LDOT as collateral. Then, you may lend, exchange, or utilize this aUSD for any other stablecoin use case.

**Stake LDOT**

To get more prizes, stake your LDOT in "collateral staking" under the Earn tab. Collateral staking gives you the option to mint USD, but it is not necessary to receive rewards.

**Trade**

Use the swap function of Acala to trade the LDOT/aUSD pair. LDOT trade pairings may be supported by other DEX in the future as its utility expands beyond Acala.

## **How Liquid DOT Works**

Users must make sure their DOT is unbonded and prepared to be moved to Acala in order to be ready for the launch. Use the DOT Bridge in Acala to transfer DOT there and take part in the DeFi economy there. Users stake their DOT, receive LDOT, and leverage more yield after they have their DOT on Acala and the Liquid Staking is active.
