Be very careful while downloading anything from Google Play.
A fake WalletConnect app has come up on Google Play. Before it was removed, it was downloaded 10k times, and before it was removed, it took away assets worth more than $70k of investors.

Shaking belief in Google Play
Some people believe that to avoid fake apps, we should download apps from Google Play only. But the fake products coming on Google Play have made this facility irrational.
I believe that we can get the original app or its download link only from the original website. But if the website is hacked, then the code of that app can be replaced with a fake app.
Master tech skills for your own Good
Be Alert: Making a bogus product in the name of a real one is a scammer's game, but they have mastered the technology, therefore. Before downloading, one should think; both the user and the developer must exercise extreme caution.
Skilled honest Developers only: Developers People may miss the technical skill, but developers should not. They have to be sure that their product should not be copied. Additionally, Google should not fall behind; it must produce superior technology to stop any fake app on its store, search, ad, etc.
