Raspberry Pi 5 Gets 2GB Board
Raspberry Pi 5 series was launched last year with two variants : 4GB and 8GB. And these two variants are already in circulation in both single unit and the desktop kit around the world.
This year Raspberry Pie has launched the 2GB board variant and it is going to make it easier for the people to use it for small projects. And for testing and the education purpose this new board is useful.
So now that Raspberry Pi has 2GB board, do you see it is usable for linux?
Linux can work with the 512RAM and also the 1GB worth of the MMC card or even the storage. So I think this would also run the Ubuntu server Linux just fine. I find it that the Ubuntu server would be a good choice.
All the features of the variant of the 4GB and 8GB board would be having same features and the board with the 2GB size also has the same networking and the connectivity.
So this would make a good small servers and the temperature specific small projects.
This is also one of those boards which are not made in china. This time the development has been done in the wales, Uk. And so this is one of those products which are reducing the reliance of the China in the electronics space.
Also the small models can be used to tasks and the projects that would make the hacking hobby projects and the projects in the IOT small section devices easier to creaet and deploy.
Price is also less than the other variants of the Raspberry Pi 5 series. So it is turning out to be a good development in this space.
