Ajuna partners with Subsquid to lift the lid on in-game behavior and statistics
Zurich, January 2023 —
Decentralized gaming platform Ajuna Network has partnered with Web3 indexing solution Subsquid to change the way players can hone their skills and improve their playing strategy. The partnership will provide fast and convenient access to all historical game data and statistics on Ajuna Network through custom APIs. The launch of the Awesome Ajuna Avatars, an NFT collective game running on the Bajun Network, will create the first touchpoint for the collaboration with Sub squid.
Ajuna Network is a Web3 platform that makes it easy for developers to incorporate GameFi technology into games developed with Unity and Unreal Engine. For generations, players of games like Chess have perfected their strategies by analyzing great moves and patterns from historical matches. Ajuna is seeking to bring this concept into the 21st Century, by recording key player moves and events and generating aggregate, data, statistics and insights about playing styles and behavior.
Which combination of moves is statistically most likely to defeat your opponents? What type of free-kick most often results in a goal? Where should you position your army to best defend your fortress? Soon, players will be able to unlock statistical insights about how to refine their strategies by analyzing the data.
This information may also be used during gaming tournaments for commentators, fans and other interested parties to develop models to analyze the probability that a specific team or player will win. Subsquid’s advanced on-chain indexing features and framework for building custom APIs will allow anyone to query Ajuna’s on-chain data repository and acquire customized datasets about specific games.
Announcing the partnership, founder and CEO Cédric Decoster said
“The transparency of Web3 holds enormous potential for gaming in terms of new data streams and analytics. Through this partnership with Subsquid, our in-game data will be far easier and faster to access than on competing platforms.”
Subsquid co-founder Marcel Fohrmann added
“Ajuna Network aims to enable Web3 games with comparable speed and performance to traditional titles. Here at Subsquid, we’re gamers at heart, and we’ve been building to make this kind of on-chain gaming possible from the very start. For this reason, we’re beyond excited about this new partnership!”

About Subsquid
Subsquid is the team behind squids, a new standard for Web3 data extraction and transformation. Squids already power hundreds of applications across dozens of EVM, Substrate, and WASM-based chains. Ajuna Network is a decentralized gaming platform that delivers real value to gamers, without compromising on gameplay.
It makes the world’s leading development engines — Unity and Unreal — fully integrated with the world of blockchain-based in-game assets. Now gamers don’t have to choose between real value and real games — Ajuna gives them both.
Real Value: Gamers can own their in-game virtual assets, and protect and control their functionality through a public and decentralized blockchain. Never again will their hard-earned weapons, clothing and items be rendered worthless by the decisions of game company executives.
Real Games: Ajuna games can be created with industry-leading development platforms, while latency is massively reduced by running game engines in powerful, off-chain trusted execution environments (TEEs) linked to the Polkadot blockchain network.
