• Round 2 of Coretime sales are live, and Aventus has become the first team to perform a core renewal. Four other teams missed their chance to renew for 100 DOT in the renewal period, but can still purchase their core on the open market if they wish.

• Web3 Foundation Wave 23 funding has issued grants to eight projects in the categories of Developer Tools, Chains and Pallets, Research, UI Development, and Second-Layer Protocols.

• Blockchain infrastructure automation company Perfuse is the latest recipient of a Web3 Foundation Decentralized Futures grant. Their grant project aims to lower barriers to entry by creating a one-click parachain deployment toolkit for the entire Polkadot ecosystem.

• You may have heard the recent push to refer to parachains as rollups. The UX Bounty wants to take things one step further by creating a Unified Glossary to establish consistent and user-friendly terminology across the entire Polkadot ecosystem.

• Polkassembly announces the release of a new batch voting feature. Multiple proposals can now be voted on with a single transaction, saving both time and gas fees.

• In AAG 176, Jay Chrawwna projected the monthly Polkadot treasury income according to the inflation parameters of the successful Wish for Change Referendum 1139. At the current DOT price, monthly treasury inflow would be in the region of USD $10M. With Q3 average spends at USD $8M, this would give some headroom for a potential increase in spending.

• Ledger users can now sign transactions on Pendulum thanks to runtime upgrade v19.

• The Virto team has initiated Wish for Change Referendum 464 on Kusama, proposing to convert Kreivo, their DAO deployment and management parachain, into a system chain.

• The Blankos NFT migration to Polkadot is complete, and trading went live on the Mythical Marketplace on October 23rd. To celebrate, Mythical has launched the Blankos OG Loyalty Program. Eligible OGs will gain early access to Mythical game releases, exclusive starter packs, in-game rewards, and more. In addition, Mythical is also submitting a proposal to the Mythos DAO to allocate a reward pool of 2M MYTH to be distributed quarterly to Blankos collectors.

• The NFL Rivals Monster Smash 2 Halloween Campaign is running until November 14th, with a spooky-themed stadium, frightening card effects, and special rewards. By completing events and challenges players can earn candy currency that can be used to unlock special edition Adrian Peterson cards and Halloween players.

• Arkain's generative art collection Flowform dropped on Kodadot on October 23rd, and sold out within 24 hours.

• After struggling to build momentum for the project, the BEEFY memecoin team has shelved their v2 roadmap plans and is inviting the community to take over. One percent of the token supply originally allocated to the team will be airdropped to BEEFY's loyal investors, while the remaining non-circulating supply will be burned.

• Polimec hosted a Polkadot Updates event in Zurich to discuss Polkadot, the Kylix Protocol, and fundraising in Web3. The event, set up for learning and networking, featured talks from Radha Dasari (Technical Education Lead at Web3 Foundation) and Gianluigi Davassi(Founder of Kylix Finance)

• On October 20th, Polkaworld hosted an X Space with Polimec, inviting members from Xcavate and Archisinal, who are looking to fundraise on Polimec. The space was attended by Richard, the co-founder of Xcavate, and Tim, the co-founder of Archisinal.

• Phala co-hosted the DeAI meetup in San Francisco on October 22nd, with Founder, Marvin Tong in attendance. The event was focused on discussions around the intersection of Decentralized AI and its potential to shape diverse industries.

• Centrifuge CEO Lucas Vogelsang joined a fireside chat at the Real World Asset Summit on balancing DeFi ideals with TradFi integration and appeared on a panel forecasting the RWA sector in 2025. Other Centrifuge team members also participated in panels on tokenization engines and the impact of relaxed crypto regulations on the RWA sector.

• Peaq hosted an X Space with newcomers to the Peaqosystem, PickSpot, which is building a decentralized open locker network where people earn by hosting PickSpot lockers. These lockers will be used for last-mile deliveries of products.

• Shiden, the sister chain of the Astar Network, has purchased a core on Kusama for 0.0702 KSM. When the network’s parachain slot lease ends on November 6th, the network will begin using the purchased core.
• Following an attempted exploit on the Parallel Finance chain, the Moonbeam Network put up a fast-tracked proposal to close XCM channels with Parallel Finance and freeze GLMR assets in the Parallel sovereign accounts. There will be another proposal to ensure the safe return of these 159k GLMR tokens to Moonbeam.
• Web3 technical educator Filippo Franchini has put up a discussion on the Polkadot forum to rename Parachains to Rollups, to further align with the blockchain space and improve SEO engagement.
• Ecosystem agent Spazcoin submitted a governance proposal on the Moonbeam Network. The proposal aims to open bidirectional HRMP channels between Moonbeam and the following networks: Mythos, EnergyWebX, Kilt, Polimec, and Robonomics.
• The team at Bifrost Network isrequesting a new loan of 50,000 KSM from the Kusama treasury, after the repayment of the last loan with an interest of 4,262.7855 KSM. This loan will augment liquidity for vKSM, with extended use cases planned for vKSM across Polkadot’s parachains.
