• All five cores have been sold in the first round of Bulk Coretime sales on Polkadot. The first sale was made for 69 DOT on October 5th, while the remaining four cores were snapped up on October 7th for approximately 52 DOT each.
• Novasama has received a Web3 Foundation Decentralized Futures grant for the development of v1 of the Polkadot Mobile App. The app will feature easy onboarding, cloud backup of keys, .DOT usernames, and asset management features.
• KILT announces Polar Path, a Polkadot pallet that facilitates the bi-directional conversion of native parachain tokens to Ethereum compatible ERC-20 tokens. This solves the token compatibility challenge of bridging parachain native tokens over Snowbridge to Ethereum.
• Acurast launches Acelon, a decentralized, verifiable, on-demand, omnichain oracle provider that supports EVM, Polkadot SDK (Substrate Pallets), and ink! contracts.
• TouchBrick, a DePIN for protecting the privacy of sensitive training data for enterprise AI, is building on Peaq.
• SubWallet introduces Unified account, a solution for managing token and NFT assets, and interacting with more than 200 networks across the Polkadot, Ethereum, and TON ecosystems.
• Week 5 of the Stellaswap DOT Incentives campaign sees a DOT boost added to the ASTR-DOT, CFG-DOT, PHA-DOT, and SUB-DOT pools. Nothing in the campaign so far has come close to the astronomical APRs of the boosted SUB-DOT pool which initially peaked at 6800%!
• Round 2 of OKX Defi wallet Stellaswap Bonus Event incentives has commenced. STELLA-GLMR, GLMR-xcUSDC, xcDOT-xcUSDT, GLMR-xcDOT, and stDOT-xcDOT will be boosted with additional DOT rewards for the next two months.
• Upcoming multi-chain lending platform Kylix Finance has secured a complementary comprehensive code review from BlockDeep Labs thanks to the funding of Referendum 700.
• The Gavun Wud x Hydration LP Burn NFT Campaign has come to end with over $28K in LP burned. That's approximately 3362 DOT and 15B WUD! The top burner incinerated $8,298.73 and will be granted a very prestigious Diamond Tier NFT.
• Merge Madrid attendees were the latest recipients of Sovereign Nature Initiative POP NFTs. First stage NFT evolutions into Orbo can already be activated. Word on the street is that the next stage of evolution is coming soon.
• Wish for Change Referendum 1217 aims to unify the address format across the Polkadot ecosystem. It proposes a single address format for all compatible Polkadot parachains, with simple three-character readable address prefixes indicating the chain. If passed, the initiative would be executed and funded by the UX Bounty.
• JAMTON is requesting 251.66K USDC in Referendum 1218 to build cross-chain infrastructure between Polkadot and TON. In addition, the funds would cover an asset bridge, simplified onboarding of TON users and liquidity, and a Telegram Mini App for interacting with the JAMTON protocol and its dApps.
• Novasama announces SwipeGov, a new multi-lingual AI powered interface that makes voting in Polkadot OpenGov easier than ever, available with the Nova Wallet v8.7.0 update.
• Polkassembly introduces a new feature to enhance the transparency of successful treasury proposals. Proposers can now submit project updates with progress reports, and users can share their feedback on passed proposals.

• On 8th October, Polkadot and the UK CBT hosted a night of panels focused on the potential impact of UK digital assets in global markets. The first panel on DIDs and CBDCs featured Ingo Rube (KILT), Claire Conby (DPF), Dr Lisa Cameron (APPG), David Rennie (Idemia). The second panel discussed the opportunities that Polkadot brings to the table, and featured Tom Humber (Archisinal), Nick Douzinas (Dot Play), Richard Houldsworth (Xcavate), David Bakk (Polimec).
• Play On Polkadot hosted a livestream on 8th October about how ink! excels as a smart-contract programming language for Polkadot.
• On October 9th, Sheila Warren (Crypto Council for Innovation) interviewed President of Project Liberty Tomicah Tillemann to hear all about the People's Bid for TikTok.
• The Web3 Foundation hosted Decentralized Futures grantees Angie and Nick from DOTPlay, and Gautam and Emiliano from Blockdeep Labs on October 9th to discuss their plans to reshape the gaming ecosystem on Polkadot.
• On Wednesday October 9th, Peaq hosted an AMA with new arrival DeNet, a decentralized data storage DePIN that recently decided to migrate from Polygon.
• Crust returned on 11th October for another round of monthly updates at the 35th Community Open Call, hosted by Community Manager Semir.
• On Friday October 11th, Peaq welcomed Decentralized VPN and Wi-Fi DePIN NetSepio to hear how they will enhance web privacy through their incentivized network of bandwidth providers.
• Heroic hosted Polka Night, a Faceit CS2 tournament with $750 in DOT shared by the top ten players on October 11th.
• On Tuesday October 29th, Polkadot Now is hosting Polkadot Dubai: Soirée under the Stars, an exclusive networking event on a yacht, to kick off Binance Blockchain Week.
