Ahead of GTA 6's release, Rockstar expands with new acquisition
While the whole world has its eyes on Rockstar Games for the long-awaited announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 2, which is slow in coming, the company has just announced that it has acquired a new software house.
In fact, the official confirmation of the acquisition of Video Games Deluxe by the giant of the video game industry has arrived in the last few hours. For those who don't know, we are talking about a studio that in the past has often and willingly collaborated with Rockstar, since it contributed to the creation of L.A. Noire, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files and the mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy โ The Definitive Edition.
In the press release in which the acquisition is made official, the name change of the Australian software house is also announced. The team, whose headquarters are located in Sydney, will change its name from Video Games Deluxe to Rockstar Australia, thus enriching the number of internal teams of the creators of GTA.
It will be interesting to see in the coming months whether or not Rockstar Australia is also contributing content to Grand Theft Auto 6, perhaps helping to create assets for the game's online component.
Did you know that Rockstar Games has launched its own official Discord channel, which has exploded with fans eagerly awaiting GTA 6?
