Avengers: Secret Wars, the films and key characters of the new MCU crossover revealed

In addition to revealing that Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars will feature multiple villains and multiple actors in multiple roles through the arrival of new variants, famed insider Alex Perez spoke about the main characters and key films in the Multiverse Saga.

As for which characters will be important to Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the insider teased: "The Thunderbolts will definitely be important in Avengers: Doomsday. The Young Avengers aren't officially formed yet, but some of their members, like Cassie Lang, Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, and Kate Bishop, will have roles in the film. Oh, and Franklin Richards. Franklin will be a major character in the next two Avengers films. But overall, everyone will have their opportunity to shine in these films. If there's one thing the Russos know how to do, it's balancing the Marvel characters in these crossovers. Aside from the big names, I can anticipate that Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, America Chavez, Yelena Belova, Kamala Khan, Monica Rambeau, Riri Williams, the Watcher, and TVA will all have roles to play in these upcoming films."

As for which films will have the most impact on the plots of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, he promised: "100% Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Both of those movies introduce the concept of Incursions, and according to my sources, the incursion we saw toward the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home will turn out to be the incursion that Clea was talking about at the end of Multiverse of Madness."
