The Witcher Returns With A Novel: How Will It Affect Polaris' Future?
Michal Nowakowski, CEO of CD Projekt RED, promoted on his social profiles the release of the new book of The Witcher written by Andrzej Sapkowski, in fact it is the first new novel of the series in over ten years, considering that the last book of the saga came out in 2013.
After Seasons of Storm, Sapkowski took a break from the books and in the following years he sued CD Projekt RED with motivations related to the transfer of the copyright of the franchise The Witcher. Now the relationship between Sapkowski and CD Projekt RED seems to have improved and the proof would be the message of Michal Nowakowski, who promotes the new book of the writer.
But above all, there are many who believe that CD Projekt RED could "borrow" elements of the new novel by Andrzej Sapkowski for The Witcher Polaris. Rodroże kruków, the title of the book, currently has no English translation and there seem to be no plans to adapt the novels into languages other than Polish, but considering the popularity of The Witcher in Europe and the United States, it could be just a matter of time.
Of course, there is no guarantee that CD Projekt RED will include elements of the novel in The Witcher Polaris, for now it is only a hope of the community. Apparently the reveal of The Witcher 4 is not very close...
