Expert's Point: TikTok is owned by the Chinese firm ByteDance. However, many experts regard TikTok as Chinese spyware, which does not fall under the concept of "freedom of anything" in my opinion.

Experience Points: In 2019, India, the world's largest market, banned TikTok, resulting in the rise of other platforms; even major sites such as YouTube introduced "shorts," which are now a superior alternative.
