Binance has recently partnered with the TON blockchain. TON blockchain is made by the same developers who founded telegram foundation and TON. They are now expanding their offering of the TON token on the Binance Launch Pool.

I am not the biggest Velodrome fan, and you know why, but I have the $VELO locked and I wouldn't leave it idle. Must earn as much as possible to recover from that $35,000 drain I suffered in January. 

One of the locks was made for 4 years, while the majority of $VELO was locked for "only" one year. Both timeframes are like eons in the Cryptoverse, where the time goes ten times quicker. In one year Velodrome could crumble to pieces, or become the number one protocol in the world. Time will tell!

The key problem with most AMMs was that the emission rate is often tied to liquidity, rather than to trading volume. Any VELO holder can lock their tokens to convert to veVELO, and this was the path that I choose! The longer the lock, the more veVELO the user receives, which grants them more voting power. 

I claimed the emissions from both LPs and I increased the shorter lock with an extra 1,745 $VELO. This boost raised my new estimated voting power to 1,020 veVELO, guaranteeing higher rewards from voting.

The position in locked VELO will be represented as veVELO, a non-fungible token which can then be traded on NFT marketplaces. Rebasing is used to ensure that VELO lockers were not significantly diluted, where veVELO is distributed to VELO lockers, proportionate to their locked amount.

I claimed and locked the rebase as well, making sure both locks are pumped up for better rewards. All I have to do now is to remember to vote every week, choosing the gauges with the highest reward levels.

The system is simple and efficient! The user locks $VELO for voting power, and can to use it to direct liquidity emissions to specific pools. Liquidity emissions from Velodrome are distributed proportionally based on votes received by each pool, and in return the voters receive 100% of all fees and bribes received by the specific pools that they voted for.

Bribes flow to voters which incentivizes them to vote for the pools with the highest combined value of bribes and fees. I set an alarm for Monday, so I don't forget to vote. I always go for the highest rewards and voting APR, obtained from fees and bribes. The estimate helps me decide which pool to vote for, and earning 6-7 dollars a week is a good deal!

I've been to Egypt and man I've had so much lamb in there! On the day I've had a trip in the desert I even tried some... camel curry! Why not!

Adding lamb meat in the diet will supply protein, healthy fat and vitamins. Like other types of meat, lamb is primarily composed of protein and fats. Cooked lamb is high-quality protein source, providing all nine essential amino acids that the human body needs for growth.

Lamb meat contains varying amounts of fat and CLA, depending on how much of it has been trimmed away, as well as the animal’s diet, age, gender, and feed. CLA has been linked to various health benefits, including reduced body fat mass.

The meat is rich in vitamins such as Vitamin B12, Selenium, Zinc, Iron and Phosphorus. Vitamin B12 is important for blood formation and brain function, Selenium has various important functions in the body while the Zinc is important for growth and the formation of hormones. Phosphorus is essential for body growth and maintenance.

I have 2 prime cuts for lunch, and I made a habit to spice the meat up a night before and leave it in the fridge to marinade and flavor up. I spiced up the lamb with chilies for heat and rosemary, fennel and star anise to balance the fire!

The next day I had two stakes bursting with flavor! A symphony of cayenne peppers, nutmeg, turmeric, garlic, star anise, sage and many more herbs were ready for the pan.

Will share few tips I learned from Gordon... always take the meat out of the fridge 10 minutes before cooking, and always add extra spices as more then half will burn through cooking. Don’t fry it too long or you will ruin the meat and it’s flavor! Less is more when it comes to lamb!

The pan must be extra hot, and lamb only needs a drop of olive oil before cooking. I cooked my lamb stake for 2 minutes on a side and 2 on the other to keep the flavor.

You don't want to overcook lamb, so 4 minutes is enough for the right level of cooking. Just sprinkled some smoked paprika and Italian herbs on top before eating! Enjoy!

They urged all the community members to stay away from the contract as it wasn't not safe anymore. The LP was drained but they tracked all the wallets of the hacker and were actively monitoring the situation.

But while they urged the holders to stay away from the contract, huge amounts of $GB were sold. It looked like a rug-pull! The community gone mental as the price gone down... down...down! 

Not sure how much my LP was valued when the exploit/rug pull happened, but a day or two before I had over $1000 in there. Initial investment $460 ... initial APY 9147% ... returns ZERO! Was so upset I lit the BBQ and made some Romanian "mici" and some lovely beef stakes! Why is there avocado on the grill? Not sure either!

* **Difficulty for hackers:** If USDS gets hacked, SKY will thwart the hacker's ploy by freezing tokens and addresses, thus protecting investors by discouraging hackers. However, it is not yet known whether new tokens will be created for the affected investors in such a situation.
* **End of economic freedom:** USDS will become completely centralised. Just like Tether is freezing USDT that are used by US restricted regions, enterprises, and individuals; USDS will also start controlling its users according to the government’s decisions.

USDS's importance is limited to centralized exchanges only, I will not take it in my wallet, I would prefer to keep wallet addresses away from such protocols which are able to freeze your assets.

**A Broken Record**

I guess many of us within the [**WEB3**](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-web-3-0) world are perhaps beginning to sound a bit like a broken record. However, the idea of a decentralized, yet connected world that is built on the idea of [**monetization**](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-monetization), influence, and authority is rather exciting, in my opinion. Unfortunately, much of this idea is watered down by the typical aspects that control centralized entities. In other words, these flaws still find a way to penetrate and influence decentralized ideas.

As I have mentioned before, true [**decentralization**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2022/10/08/web-3-decentralization-the-world-it-promotes/) is a myth… it’s like perfection. It’s something that many strive to achieve, however, will never attain. This however doesn’t stop one striving for excellence. Similarly, many are looking to a decentralized future but will have to settle for “systems” that are compromised in one way or another. Essentially, one has to seek out opportunities that work for them.

Opportunities where the “compromise” is acceptable, or the “damaging effects” are not as critical to your desired objective or outcome. There are no perfect solutions anywhere, whether it be online, or in any other aspect of life. However, the truth remains…

Once you have realized this it becomes very difficult to “exist” exclusively in a [**WEB2**](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-web-2-0) world. I am not entirely opposed to WEB2\. However, I do limit myself to what I make use of, and for various reasons. I am also generally a rather private person, so you won’t catch me posting my life on Facebook. The truth be told, my last FB post was almost a decade ago. In my opinion, Facebook has become a vanity club.

What most people love about Facebook, I detest… it’s narcissistic when you consider the motivations behind the majority of the content being published there. Although not perfect, WEB3 does seem to attract a different caliber of person. Generally speaking, WEB3 content often evolves around [**income generation**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2023/08/31/the-bitboy-saga-reinforcing-my-primary-objective-of-independent-income-generation/), monetization, and innovation. The type of income generation ideas you are likely to encounter on WEB2 platforms are generally MLM ideas.

In other words, ideas and opportunities that require some sort of investment. One of the greatest “selling points” of WEB3 is that anyone can begin building an income-generative presence [**without making any initial investment**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2023/07/25/monetization-micro-earning-web3/). Not only does WEB2 not reward users, but it extracts data and sensitive information from its users and then proceeds to profit from what I consider a violation.

As I say, you can’t live under a rock. However, there are areas where you can choose if you are “going to play”. When it comes to WEB3, more and more people are beginning to realize the benefits, especially in the long term, and so Have begun creating content, even if in a limited capacity. In other words, taking their Facebook habits, and then upping their game a bit. The result is micro-content that can begin being leveraged for income generation within the world of WEB3.

**The Rules Are Changing**

This is bringing about an entirely new age of content creation, where [**tokenization**](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-tokenization) is at the heart of income generation. It is however still in the formative stages. In other words, many are leaving WEB2 for WEB3\. However, they are not seeing their WEB2 communities traveling with them just yet, and so are still active in both realms. As I mentioned last year, Musk’s incorporation of monetization on X was an attempt to keep a dying idea viable and attractive.

Let’s be honest, it’s working well for those with large audiences. However, I doubt whether guys like Zuckerberg are going to begin sharing their ad revenue with their users. Musk is a different animal. He will literally throw money away, to prove a point. His income-generative ideas are by no means standard and are in many cases not comprehended by the critical mass.

He’s extremely talented, in leveraging a critical mass, while simultaneously pleasing them. There are very few [**entrepreneurs**](https://sapphirecrypto.org/2023/03/20/establishing-a-crypto-business-is-not-void-of-sacrifice/) with his skill set. I would go as far as to say he is his own pedigree. Despite his efforts, WEB3 will eventually rise to supremacy. It may take a while, but it’s coming! Regulatory concerns are of course the greatest concern at this stage of the game.

If [**DeFi**](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-decentralized-finance-defi) is the next target for regulators, then DeFi’s Siamese twin, WEB3, is included by default. If you haven’t realized yet, Crypto, WEB3, and blockchain, in general, is a type of migration, and one that will most likely take some time, similar to Moses and the Israelite nation shifting to a new “homeland”. Most people involved in Crypto are unable to understand and appreciate the concept of process.

**Final Thoughts**

Yes, it’s a process, and anyone getting involved in Crypto has to understand this. Essentially, goals need to be longer-term in nature, and strategies should incorporate building something of value, as opposed to “cashing in” on the short-term fluctuations of the market. Any new idea is faced with the initial stages of extreme [**volatility**](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-volatility) and uncertainty. It’s part of the story.

Thinking you can somehow escape or bypass this period is a little naive. It’s better to use it to build. Regardless of what you are building, time is your friend. A rushed job will always later reveal the cracks of avoiding correct and appropriate procedures. It’s time to build! See you next time!
