Windows App: New Remote Desktop App

For those who are working in IT office I am sure you have used the Remote desktop for variety of reasons. I make use of the remote desktop to connect to the Azure Windows desktop server.

And there are many other apps that allow you to do the same. And it’s pretty cool to interact with the Windows and get the results that you seek. So basically the old remote desktop app is being removed.

And this new Windows app is being added in upcoming Windows 11 update. And this would allow multiple connection and remote display options would be out.

Here you can connect to remote desktop, you can connect to server desktop. As of now the server support is specific to windows only. No Linux or other OS support. And rightfully so as they are focused on their own OS.

This would also make the recording and connecting to other apps would be easier through this. Lot of things have changed with Windows. It’s an interesting OS and update worth sticking around in the next Win update.
