My prediction on Revolut's Stablecoin
Revolut Stablecoin
The news of London-based neobank and fintech company Revolut's yet to be launched stablecoin is making rounds on social media. Revoult yet have to confirm and develop it, let me take you to its wide future:
- A GBP-pegged tablecoin: Although there is no information about which fiat Revolut's stablecoin will be pegged to, however, Revolut is licensed to serve UK retail customers, and the trading for this will not be in any currency other than GBP. So Revolut will definitely issue a GBP-pegged stablecoin.
- Open market for Revoult: Earlier, another firm, Poundtoken, issued GBP-pegged GBPT, which did not get much success, so the British market is open for Revolut, which is already well established in the UK.
- A possible Forex Competition is awaiting : Revoult also offers crypto exchange features, so if Revolut's stablecoin reaches the crypto market, then the possibility cannot be ruled out that users will do USD-GBP forex trading in the form of crypto. with USD-based stablecoins like USDT/USDC/DAI, etc.
