# **The (Early) Rise of Astar NFTs**

# What is Astar?

(TLDR) Astar is a next generation layer 1 blockchain secured by Polkadot (which is a layer 0 blockchain platform that unifies multiple blockchains). After winning a parachain auction slot (mechanism for becoming a fully fledged chain), Astar was launched on January 17 2022.

# The NFT Movement

Most people would agree that 2021 was the year that NFTs really exploded into the crypto scene, and at the very least was acknowledged in the mainstream media. Numerous articles do a [recap of the NFT movement](https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/article/nfts-in-2021-a-year-in-review) including an article featured on coinmarketcap that I find quite comprehensive.  

In my opinion, the reasons NFTs have been so successful are: social “flex” appeal, easy for normies to identify with, celebrities and stars getting involved, accessible marketplaces to obtain them, and aside from store of monetary value, some will have utility, including: exclusive channel(s), passive income, gaming utility, and metaverse integration. To further understand NFTs, I highly recommend reading an article from Ninja which provides a [primer on NFTs for the uninitiated](https://app.subsocial.network/5892/a-primer-on-nf-ts-for-the-uninitiated-are-nf-ts-investments-31114).

Ultimately NFTs should not be underestimated, as they can be considered one of the big reasons for blockchain network utilization. It has been widely documented that the rise in gas fees on the Ethereum blockchain has been largely due to the increased demand for NFTs. Additionally, the growth of newer L1 blockchains like Solana have seen vast network effects from NFTs (which includes blockchain gaming).


# Astar NFTs

With Astar being the new kid on the block, there has been a good amount of developments with the [article from Mario Vukelic](https://medium.com/astar-network/nft-movement-on-astar-is-about-to-start-feb-2022-6e93f5006117) from the Astar team providing a taste of how serious Astar is taking NFTs.

Astar, whilst still in its infancy, has now seen 4 large NFT collections since February 21, 2022, each successfully minting out. A summary on each is as follows:


# Astar Degens

I believe this to be the first NFT project on Astar. It is a vast collection of 10,000 NFTs. As the first collection, I decided to jump onto its discord to see what it was all about. I was immediately impressed with how inclusive its community was. What I witnessed first-hand was a community that was focused on building and giving life to the collection. The community put together their own vision and mission statement, art banners, video guides, and more. The journey of Astar Degens was discussed on the compulsive [“SER have ya heard”] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zdr1tiTBIMY) daily show, whereby, [Jay](https://app.subsocial.network/accounts/3pYyydiZfeTL7iVxcYqw9bVyPbFXdVHSomUNzg4SpdycD5tg) interviews prominent members of their team.  

Having Sota Watanabe, the founder of Astar, join the very first AMA and give the project his backing was huge. This collection launched on February 21, 2022, and was priced at 600 ASTR (approximately $75 to 80USD at the time), and it sold out in 36hrs. 70% of the mint funds were set aside for a community DAO. One key thing to note is the DAO wallet is held safely with Sota, with the wallet address publicly shared on the community announcement channel. Moving forward, NFTs holders can vote on how the community DAO fund is used. The first one, a partnership with Starlay (a lending protocol built on Astar), has already been given a resounding yes and will create passive income for NFT holders (proportional to the amount of Astar Degens held). # AstarPunks

I did not personally get involved with this project, but I was aware of them through my participation with WagMedia, finding posts on their giveaways, and sneak peek of their artwork. Most people involved in crypto would have heard of Crypto Punks, and pretty much every blockchain ecosystem has followed suit with their own version to pay homage to them. 

This collection comprises 8,888 NFTs, again with a community DAO as their core utility. Future plans include building a staking dApp for holders (dApp staking is a concept that is synonymous with Astar and its canary network Shiden).  

I really like how this project incorporated legendary NFT status based on the appearances of members of the Astar team into it. The low cost for minting was certainly a draw (priced at 150 ASTR approximately $18 to 20 USD at the time), and on February 25, 2022, it sold out in 40 minutes. # AstarBots

Again, this is a project that I did not personally get involved in. That being said, I really think the artwork is fun and kawaii. I particularly like the look of the NFTs that relate to a fast-food joint as the occupation of choice for crypto bear market periods. 

This collection comprises 8,800 NFTs, again with a community DAO as the core utility. Additionally, there is one cool feature called graveyard, whereby floor-priced NFTs are brought by the DAO and burnt – in turn making the collection deflationary. The DAO will be able to vote for this practice to cease. Again, the low cost for minting was certainly a draw (priced at 150 ASTR, approximately $19 to 21 USD at the time), and on February 27, 2022, the collection sold out in 25 minutes (notice a trend towards mint outs). # The Fourth Collection

Having missed the previous two drops, I saw this late on my crypto Twitter feed. The Astar Degen in me basically made me ape in. 

Unfortunately, I am now withdrawing my original write-up on this collection. What I would say is that the successes of previous collections can attract the attention of people with ill intentions regardless of the blockchain network. It is important that people DYOR  as much as possible. I recommend asking questions before you proceed, I recall for Astar Degens questions were being asked about how the DAO funds were secured. 

At this point, it is unclear to me whether there will be something that will be done to salvage the situation on this collection. 


# Success?

From what we have witnessed thus far, does this follow what I believe to be the so-called recipe for success? Here is my breakdown:

Social “flex” appeal – Astar has a following of circa 230K on Twitter, and that’s pretty huge considering it is still early days. There are currently more followers than NFTs at the moment, so at least on an ecosystem level, this could have some flex. Also given that these NFT collections are the very first ones, this adds to the appeal.

Easy for normies to identify – having witnessed first-hand how the community got the show running, I would have to say so-far-so-good. The use of metamask for minting feels normal for those already involved with NFTs – and with the bonus of speed and low fees, we aren’t looking at Ethereum-level cost of entry. 

Celebrities and stars getting involved  - I cannot verify if there are any for these collections. That being said, Astar Network itself does have a celebrity backer in Keisuke Honda, so who knows?

Accessibility – these NFT collections thus far have all been accessible on the secondary NFT marketplace TOFUNFT. According to dappradar at the time of writing, in the last 30 days, TOFUNFT was ranked within the top 20 decentralized 
[NFT marketplaces](https://dappradar.com/rankings/category/marketplaces) based on trading volume (note: there are over 100). 
Opensea is the closest thing to a household name in NFT land, but TOFUNFT covers 25 different blockchains. People involved in all other ecosystems could spot a launch date and give it a go. Here is a link to Astar page on TOFUNFT: https://tofunft.com/astar. 

Utility – these projects thus far all give the NFT holders the prospect of being part of a community DAO, however, we have yet to realize the benefits of this utility (we know things move quickly in crypto, but we need to allow some sort of time here).


# Conclusion

In terms of the recipe for success, we are still very early, but signs are promising given the rapid minting. The user experience for the mints has been smooth, and compared to Ethereum, minting has been fast during the high demand periods, whilst transaction fees are negligible. To nitpick there is the extra step of moving from the native Astar wallet to Metamask. That being said, it isn't difficult or expensive to do, and it is not worse off than some of the quirks on other non-Ethereum chains. 

One promising observation I have noticed is that there is a great deal of unity from within the Astar ecosystem, with partners such as Arthswap, TOFUNFT, Starlay, etc., helping out the NFT collections in various forms.  Furthermore, looking at the Astar ecosystem as it now stands, there is plenty of opportunity for synergy amongst the partners of these NFT collections, given how much potential comes with a community Dao. For instance, a DAO could lead to strategic investments, potential passive income, the supporting of future builders and projects, etc. Additionally, I have also seen a project called NutboxDao who launched on Astar, reach out to the NFT collections to explore the possibility of using their tech to help build the community DAOs. And, of course, there is always the possibility of community DAO using funds for dApp staking. Dapp staking is a build-to-earn concept created by Astar that replaces more conventional blockchain staking approaches (provides user staking rewards whilst incentivizing/rewarding dApp development).

Finally, I was discussing with my buddy [Ninja](https://app.subsocial.network/accounts/3obfa76Drpi44LmzoQKWPeNpKekTnKsAqysB5dbyP6szVmqJ) (who knows much more than I do on NFTs). We were both very impressed with how well the NFTs on Astar has done in terms of the volume of sales and speed of mint out. He did suggest to me that with any new blockchain, there could be that initial hunt for that bluechip NFT. These are the ones that tend to reach the pinnacles of participation, gaining cult status within the ecosystem with prominent blockchain members owning them or furthermore household-named celebrities. Resulting in them often using the NFT as their online identities on social media.

To wrap things up, we are still very early (at the time of writing, less than 3 weeks since the first collection was launched). There will be more NFT collections, NFT Marketplaces, and developments to the existing NFT collections. As I write, a few more Astar NFT collections are launching this very week. It might be a good idea to keep an eye on them.

Day 7: Heart Kingdom

Our two agents were waiting at the Rod God Studios where the interview with [Jay Chrawnna](https://app.subsocial.network/accounts/3pYyydiZfeTL7iVxcYqw9bVyPbFXdVHSomUNzg4SpdycD5tg) was to take place. 

Apparently, neither Agent L nor Agent Q stuck to just one drink yesterday night.

“I think I need to use the bathroom L,” said Agent Q

“Me too Q, I think I am going to throw up, remind me never to do shots again,” said Agent L, and then he took off to the bathroom.

The bathroom at the studio was unisex but did have a cubicle inside them for privacy. 

As Agent L hurled into the toilet bowl. Agent Q was washing her face outside.

“You ok L, I wait for you at the washbasin area as I need to comb my hair.” yelled Agent Q, to overcome the barfing sounds coming from Agent L.

Agent L came out to wash his face and groaned “I think I feel a bit better”.

Whilst Agent L was washing his face, Agent Q decided to have quick look at her phone, as she did manage to snag one of the pyramids from yesterday on the way out of [Singular](https://singular.rmrk.app/) marketplace.

Then suddenly (if you have read the previous days you will get the drill by now), some strange sound sounds are heard, it starts off with chimes, then the tempo builds up into a slow trance.

Both agents then see that the bathroom mirror changes into the mystical mirror.

The agents look in the mirror and can could see beaming golden surroundings, with a variety of mushrooms and mushroom-like structures. 

Some mushrooms had eyes, and some also had a crown. In the center was an impressive colorful patterned carpet road that led to a big golden mushroom-shaped building that had shiny colorful gemstones. 

On the top building (mushroom shaped roof) was a big golden crown decorated with a mixed variety of gems.

	The Heart Kingdom

“In some of your cultures crowns depict mushrooms, and wearing this means you have reached enlightenment. So we wear these crowns, as we have achieved this feat. With golden plants that surround us, we rejoice in the Heart Kingdom” said the crowned mushrooms

“Wow” said both agents as they were completely enamored with what they were witnessing.

The crowned mushrooms went on to say “We have consulted with our many mushroom brothers and sisters throughout all 7 kingdoms, and you are deemed worthy of being on the shroom list. May we meet again”.

Everything returned to normal, including both agents. Given the marvel of what they have just witnessed (which really didn't last that long), it somehow cured them of their hangovers.

“So today we have from Crust HQ, Agent L & Agent Q. Hi guys how are you doing?” said Jay

“Good” replied both agents at the same time.

“One of the questions that a lot of my viewers have asked is what’s with the name Crust?” said Jay, as he began his questioning.

“When you imagine our globe there are clouds and the layer beyond is the earth's crusts. Because Crust provides an infrastructure for decentralized cloud services it is called Crust” said Agent L

“Just to add some content, we are there to serve and protect the good people of Web3. Our services provide the people with privacy, safety, efficiency, availability, and assurance - all whilst being decentralized” said Agent Q. 

“Interesting and very well put guys” said Jay.

Jay then noticed that the agents looked a bit off. Being the pro host, Jay decided to turn off the recording and asked the agents what was going through their minds. 

Although the agents were cured of the hangover, they couldn’t get the vision of the mushrooms out of their minds.

The agents opened up and told Jay the whole mushroom ordeal. Whilst explaing and reflecting on things, the agents realized some commonalities across each of the days. 

They’d always appear to be mushrooms with an association with mirrors. This coincided with a marketplace and occasionally via a wallet. 

The sounds and visions seemed to be strange, mystical, and hallucinogenic. There was also plenty of references to visionary art.

Jay started grinning, being the well-connected guy, he went to explain. “Ser have ya heard of Mushroom Topia? Well my buddy [Mario](https://app.subsocial.network/accounts/3svquqWeqhSAoQLSiV2KL4VXFhoAGj1VTP4TSuwfoMjWjEge) was telling me about Mushroom Topia. 

"It's a yet-to-be-released collection by Ruben Topia, and it was [featured on the show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhoB1X3efqs) the other day where there mention of their campaign. Additionally, Mario had explained the collection and the ongoing campaign can have a real profound effect on people" continued Jay.

“Yeah… just had an update from Mario this morning and aside from my show's giveaway, you might be interested to know that the first drop will be on the 28th of March. It will consist of 100 items from the Ancient Kingdom” smiled Jay

The agents had a really good laugh about it with Jay. Also from the past several days, you would realize that they are quite the Art connoisseurs and could be considered NFT degens.

# Day 3: The Forest Kingdom
In the morning both our Agents were back in the office waiting eagerly for the response from the council of Metamorph. Or were they?

“Damn it Q, I am too dam slow with some of these drops, you need to have a bot to mint” shouted out Agent L as he banged his desk with his fists.

“If only there was a sniper-proof solution? Ah I recall the public launch of all-in-one [Crust NFT service](https://crustnft.io/) will have this, so maybe for some future drops you don’t need to deal with this situation ” replied Agent Q.

“Yes, I recall seeing the memo from our colleagues over at the Crust R&D department [working on the beta](https://medium.com/crustnetwork/an-all-in-one-nft-tool-crust-nft-is-coming-soon-db39158a7af2). It is really easy to use, you don’t need to know complex coding, features include count down timers, public and white list access, of the top of my head. 

Additionally, it is also really flexible too, as it supports many different blockchain systems.” said a more enthusiast Agent L.

Agent Q looked back at her screen and with the recent discovery that she was a conscious saver, she was eagerly doing her finances. With her Subwallet open she was going through her plethora of tokens and noticed that she was missing a few KSM. She then remembered that last night she had an impulsive online shopping spree on Kodadot, having found out about their [recent partnership with Subwallet](https://subwallet.substack.com/p/partnership-announcement-subwallet?s=r).

Agent Q smiled and then decided to skip the finances and instead decided to have a look on [Kodadot](https://kodadot.xyz/) to admire her newly acquired items.

Suddenly some chiming music with a sound and feel of  Autumn wind filled the room. 

The mirror appeared again and this time the room transformed into a green forest, with yellow sky, and plotted in this forest were some really tall tree trunk-like stalks. 

The agents looked up and could see attached at the top of the stalk was some weird two-eyed cone-like mushrooms.

“The Council of Metamorph has accepted and you are now in The Forest Kingdom where Mushrooms are the fruits of fungus. We have formed a mycelium that interconnects with the roots of trees. Therefore, we have grown high in the sky where the air is cleaner.” explained the very long-stalked forest mushrooms

“ Now guess these works of art which we have been fortunate to see from afar from high up here. We will give you clues” Continued the forest mushrooms. 

“Bring it on,” Said both agents simultaneously, obviously they were feeling extremely confident having spent the whole morning looking and thinking of NFT works of art.

“Easy, Life is Soup” said Agent Q confidently (now thinking of what to get at the canteen for lunch).

“My word we thought you guys were top agents, not blooming art dealers. Well done you have passed. Mind your reflections when the next mirror appears” said the forest mushrooms. 

The forest mushrooms and forest greenery then begin to dissipate and the dull look of the office reforms. 

For the rest of the day, our agents appear to be mindful of going to the bathroom and canteen as they were a bit reluctant to see mirrors on the wall or mushrooms on plates.

On one eery night in NFT land at Mysties Auction House. Following some heavily contested bidding, we are about to witness the unveiling of the never-before-seen NFT from the Web3 renowned artist simply known as “Unknown”.

Eager press from established outlets like WagMedia were camped at the venue to cover the story, there is even a special live reporting of this event from [Jay Chrawanna](https://app.subsocial.network/accounts/3pYyydiZfeTL7iVxcYqw9bVyPbFXdVHSomUNzg4SpdycD5tg).

Count down to the reveal: 3,2,1….. yikes… gasps… shock from the attendees. Everyone is stunned, after all the hype, excitement, with big whales and top collectors battling it out, we climax with what appears to be a blank white screen. 

Seems people are in disbelief as it appears that the NFT has vanished?

“What the…. erm have a good night everybody?” yells Jay, and then in quick reaction speed dials his contacts at Crust HQ.

Moments later coming through the police barricade who are holding back the angry people, and the ambulance service looking after the suffering people (needing treatment from the shock of the reveal, or stress from the earlier bidding), emerge Agent L and Agent Q. Both smartly dressed in the typical black suit with a white shirt, that most of these agency types wear.

Agent L gets out his super-duper laptop and starts typing away. Whilst Agent Q walks towards the podium screen with her special forensic gloves on and starts inspecting. 

“The power is on and wiring to the screen is all intact L,” says Agent Q and she continues inspecting more closely.

“Thanks, Q, things looking good on the blockchain so far, am now going to look into the interaction with [Crust Network](https://crust.network/)” replies Agent L, and then he continues with the typing.

Suddenly smiles come from both Agent L and Agent Q. 

Agent L speaks out “Aha, from the code I can see that this is indeed the correct token, and furthermore, this is also the right CID (Content Identifer). Given the CID cannot be tampered with then I can only conclude that there is nothing wrong with this NFT”

# Day 4: Ocean Kingdom
We briskly forward to the next day, and being a little spooked about mushrooms and mirrors Agent L decided to take sick leave. 

“I am at the door partner.  As you are sick I am using the spare key you gave me and coming in, to drop off a bowl of chicken soup” said Agent Q on the phone, as she barged into Agent L’s apartment.

Agent L had no time to respond also at the same time the idea of Agent Q’s chicken soup was not a pleasant thought. 

“er… what’s up?” nervously said Agent L with one hand behind his back. 

His hand behind his back held the remote control. And as you have it, he inadvertently increased the volume to the top-of-the-range 70inch Ultra 4K television that was in the background.

Agent Q spoke out “I can see the television and obviously hear the game on L”

So instead of being sick at home, Agent L was actually watching [football as he is a Fanz](https://medium.com/crustnetwork/strategic-partnership-announcement-crust-nft-x-fanz-cea233797f) of the beautiful game.

Not being too displeased as she was happy that Agent L was not unwell, and that he will be enduring her wonderful chicken soup, Agent Q decided to sit down. She then took out her handphone and looked at her Novawallet.

We all know by now that Agent Q is a conscious saver, so using the Novawallet app on her phone she started [sorting out her XCM](https://twitter.com/NovaWalletApp/status/1504154530124025868) (cross-chain) tokens. She then moved on to sort out her NFTs.

The sound of the football on the television began drowning out and was replaced by a sound with an enchanting Galactic Ocean vibe. The mirror appeared on the television screen and agents floated into it. 

The agents would appear to be deep underwater where there were tranquil purple, fuchsia, magenta tones. 

There were also mushroom-like sea coral structures and swimming around Jellyfish like mushrooms with two eyes. These creatures were emitting colorful dot-like bubbles.

“Deep under the surface of the ocean away from the noise of the world is the Ocean Kingdom. This is where we live along with fish and algae, and where we reflect an array of colors. Please present us your visionary drawings of mushrooms and we shall let the Visionary community decide whether it is worthwhile” said the various sea mushrooms.

Given the agents appeared to be in deep water, they could not speak. So instead, whilst holding their breath, they nodded in response to the sea mushrooms. 

The nods appeared to be acknowledged as the agents got sucked back to the other side of the mirror (a bit like how water drains through a sink) and back to Agent L’s apartment.
 
Both agents gasped for air. “it's a good job they put us through water training at the academy“ said, Agent Q

“I will grab my super-duper computer and load up some drawing software, whilst you can find some paper and pencils in the drawer over there” responded Agent L who was determined to get on with the task.

The agents decided to spend the rest of the day coming up with drawings, in the end, they merged their efforts and submitted as a single drawing to the Visionary community. In turn, they decided to call it a day too, as they would not know when or if their drawing would be acceptable.

# Prologue 
The 7 days 7 Kingdoms campaign centers around the new Mushroom Topia NFT collection by visionary artist Ruben Topia.

This story covers a recollection of the events, where we start off with the ongoing hunt for Strawberry Man. The hunt has left many agencies perplexed, and so, Agent L and Agent Q have been sent out from Crust HQ to work on this case.

# Day 1: The Ancient Kingdom
Outside of [Singular marketplace](https://singular.rmrk.app/) where there are some ongoing RMRK 2.0 upgrade works, our two smartly dressed agents were near the fruit & veg collections.

“This Strawberry man has proven to be very elusive, as there have even been rumors that he is lurking in Darwina’s Evolution Land on that new [Columbus Continent](https://app.subsocial.network/5904/columbus-continent-has-arrived-31560). But anyhow our intel has suggested we start here”  says Agent Q.

Agent L replied “If you like, we might be able to check the files at Crust network given the recent [partnership with Darwinia Crab](https://app.subsocial.network/@Darwinia/crust-network-integrates-with-crab-to-bring-web3-31868)”

Then suddenly some psychedelic music is heard, and there appears a strange bearded man with a mushroom-like hat who speaks in a ghostly tone “ The Book of Mushroom Topia starts here. Reflect upon The Ancient Kingdom” and then points to a mystical mirror that has appeared from nowhere.

“I am going in” both Agents simultaneously echoed whilst being drawn to the mirror. 

Whilst facing the mirror both agents see a mushroom that strangely had eyes and was surrounded by colorful dots.

And then just like that our Agents are transported through the mirror. The agents found themselves in a red-colored land with a red-colored sky and surrounded by those colorful dots that they had seen from moments ago.

 As the Agents regained their focus and looked forward in their peripheral vision was what appeared to be strange trees, a stream of water leading to what looked like a temple, and on the temple’s summit appeared yet again the two-eyed mushroom.

The two-eyed mushroom spoke out “ Since the beginning of time humans have used and lived together with mushrooms. Welcome to the Ancient Kingdom”

“No forking *beep…” (*NOTE: There are no hard forks in Dotsama)  muttered Agent L.

Agent Q shouted “Snap out of it L, we need to stay focused and catch the Strawberry Man. Look over there he just ran that way ” 

Without any further hesitation, both agents chased tirelessly throughout the rest of the day. They came close as they spotted Strawberry Man around 6 times, but for him to escape each time. 

The first time he was on the lawn beside the building on the top right. 

The second time he was near the center in the maze-like walls near a giant green plant. 

The third was to the left near a strange object with claws. 

The fourth was near the bottom next to the building beside some sort of water fountain. 

The fifth was on at the bottom near the center where there was a small strip of land next to a pool of strange giant fish. 

And finally with the 6th things became black and white and he was super hard to spot.

“This is really frustrating Q, this guy is truly hard to catch,” said Agent L angrily.

Agent Q whispered “I see smoke over there L”. Agent Q the mirror again, but even more strangely there was smoke coming inside it. 

Both agents decided to slowly step through the mirror, where they were instantly back at Singular marketplace. 

The smoke was coming from just outside the collection area where they left off, so naturally, the agents progressed towards it.

“You guys never give up, I have had enough, just let me finish my smoke in peace” gasped the Strawberry Man who was seemly tired out from all the chasing.

“Cuff him L,” said Agent Q. “Ok Q, but let the guy finish off his smoke, he’s going nowhere except behind bars tonight” replied Agent L.

Yippee, the Agents have successfully caught the Strawberry Man.

# Day 6:  Cosmic Kingdom
The recent events surrounding Strawberry Man gathered quite a lot of media coverage. 

As a follow-up to his arrest, the agents were booked in to meet famous writer and reporter extraordinaire [Ninja](https://app.subsocial.network/accounts/3obfa76Drpi44LmzoQKWPeNpKekTnKsAqysB5dbyP6szVmqJ) for an exposé. 

“I have booked my car into service after yesterday,” said, Agent Q

“Sounds good to me, hey, you do know it is payday today Q,” smiled Agent L.

Always on the ball, Agent Q replied “ yeah, and you might want to remember to upgrade your crust [wallet to version 2](https://twitter.com/CrustNetwork/status/1498941047942291461)”.

“Sure will, on the topic of pay & rewards. I assume you [imported your wallet](https://twitter.com/CrustNetwork/status/1503303251449774081) into the shadow network to view your rewards” said Agent L. 

“Sure did. You know Ninja recently did an exposé on those intriguing [Archiverse Pyramids](https://app.subsocial.network/5892/archiverse-how-about-hosting-your-metaverse-party-in-a-31970). Imagine being able to own a pyramid” replied an upbeat Agent Q. 

The session with Ninja took place. It ended up being a really good long conversation that took up all of the morning. 

It was not just on the Strawberry Man, as Ninja would provide his insight on NFT collections and Visionary art by renowned names such as Ruben Topia.

Whilst the agents would cover what they at Crust could offer to support this industry (with privacy, safety, efficiency, availability, and assurance - all whilst being decentralized). 

Furthermore, they covered the coming soon Crust NFT service that could be of great benefit to the creators/artists out there. Agent L even got out his phone to share some of the information.

	Crust NFT information was shared from the phone. Wonder what model phone it is? 

After that session, the agents were feeling excited, and decided to take a detour to [Singular](https://singular.rmrk.app/) marketplace to look at some of the visionary art they spoke to Ninja about (and whilst there maybe invest in pyramid real estate given it was payday). 

At Singular marketplace, it was a little quiet as most people were at work. The two agents headed to the visionary art collection gallery section first and drew out their wallets to see how much they actually had to spend.

Suddenly the mystical mirror appeared again on the blank wall where a new collection was soon to be displayed. Ambient, minimalistic music with an out-of-body beating tune, emitted from the mirror and filled the gallery.

The agents looked at the mirror and as though their minds left their bodies they floated through the mirror into what appeared to be like space. 

It wasn’t black with some shining stars, instead, there was mystic purple with many colored dots. 

A strange-looking purple-colored building that had colorful Arabian style domes, one even had many eyes.  In the background was a crescent moon surrounded by multi-colored rings. 

Additionally, there were floating around strange-looking mushrooms with long multi-colored dots on a long tadpole-like tail.

This time appeared that the communication was telepathic. The cosmic mushrooms telepathically said “Magic mushrooms have the ability to let you fly into our Cosmic Kingdom. We have spored many parts of space, including reaching your earth. Whilst on your planet we have marveled at the many visionary pieces, we want to test your sincerity being here and quiz you on this topic”

Not yet grasping how to talk telepathically the two agents nodded. 

Given they have had the whole morning talking about visionary art and NFT collections with Ninja, then you could say they got given some really sound training.

“Very well. Who's the artist behind this illustration?” said the cosmic mushrooms, as an art piece appeared into the agent's minds.

Pablo Amaringo thought the agents

“ Correct. Who are the only visionary artists who are minting their art on @RmrkApp according to this website https://psynft.xyz?” said the cosmic mushrooms.

The agent thought through what Ninja had said about Rmrk, and answered 3bak Art, Hayley Rincon, Cosmic Jester,  Ruben Topia.

“Dali could be considered a historic visionary artist. This is one of his most famous pieces, in what museum can you find it?” said the cosmic mushrooms, as an art piece appeared into the agent's minds.

Easy thought the agents as the Museum of Modern Art came to their minds.

“Nice. On which dates are the Burning Man 2022 festival going to happen?” said the cosmic mushrooms.

The agents recalled what Ninja said about the festival that it was happening on 28 August - 05 September 2022.

“Well done. The “Visionary NFTs on RMRK” has a server which is a place to connect with the Visionary Art, how many members are there currently?” said the cosmic mushrooms.

389 thought the agents.

“Dang it! Is there nothing you guys don’t know? Here are some glimpses of my brothers and sisters, good luck finding them”  said the cosmic mushrooms

Various images started popping up into the agent's minds. When finished the agents opened their eyes and were back at the gallery.

“Think I am going to need a drink after that experience,” said, Agent L.

“Just remember we still got to appear on Jay’s show tomorrow” replied Agent Q.

The agents headed to their regular bar and had a drink or two.

# Day 2: The Solar Kingdom
Over at Crust HQ, Agent L and Agent Q were at their desks.

“That was one hell of a chase, and, that Mushroom thing, that was quite something right Q,” said Agent L as he leaned back in his office chair.

“Sure L, just wrapping up with filing for the Strawberry Man case. There are so many Parachains Agencies and ecosystem users to inform, however, [luckily there is now this module](https://twitter.com/CrustNetwork/status/1494263644229861377) on the Dot Network to do this. Anyways I am now done and would like to take a little break and grab something at the vending machine” said, Agent Q.

As they approached the vending machine Agent Q noticed she had forgotten to bring her wallet. Being the ever conscious saver she also realized that she was also taking part in the Astar [Bridge-2-earn](https://medium.com/astar-network/astar-bridge-campaign-earn-up-to-20-astr-by-bridging-with-cbridge-7311bb387db1) campaign since the beginning of the month. And that she was getting a whooping 90% boost from [Starlay Finance](https://starlay.finance/).

Not surprisingly, Agent Q asked out “L do you have any [Astar](https://astar.network/) tokens for the vending machine” 

Agent L didn’t think too much into how for the entire month, so far, he had been treating Agent Q quite a bit. He reached into his pocket and took out a snazzy wallet with a hand logo on it. “Sure my [Talisman wallet now supports Astar](https://medium.com/astar-network/talisman-partners-with-astar-to-provide-an-optimized-wallet-experience-b7e1f72918f3)”.

Agent L goes on to open his wallet, but gets distracted, instead of getting his tokens he is drawn to the [Singular](https://singular.rmrk.app/) compartment that the wallet supports. Suddenly a mirror appears similar to what he saw yesterday and this time there was some ambient music.

“It seems to be quite bright L,” said Agent Q. Both look at the mirror, and then they both momentarily transported to what appears to be yellow desert lands with bright yellow skies. They soon come to the realization that there were many strange mushrooms all over this desert.

“We are Desert Mushrooms and unlike conventional mushrooms, we live in direct contact with the sun. Welcome to the Solar Kingdom” said the desert mushrooms.

“Look below you have 24hours to come up with some names for us mushrooms, once you submit the council of Metamorph will get back to you in due course,” echoed the desert mushrooms.

The agents then appear to warp back to the vending machine area of Crust HQ.

“Wow that was strange, more mushrooms,” said Agent L

“Probably a good idea to come up with some names, so we can continue whatever this is” replied Agent Q

After some discussion and some snacks from the vending machine, the Agents agree on Alice for mushroom 99, Rubens Nightmare for mushroom 70, Split Mushroom for 63, and Optimism for 32.

Given the sweltering heat from the Solar kingdom and the brainpower required to come up with mushroom names (that was submitted), the agents decided to call it a day and go home for some much-needed rest.

# Day 5: Sky Kingdom

Given both agents were missing in action (MIA) at work yesterday, the seniors at Crust HQ decided to send them to do some investigative auditing at an established Web3 data network provider called [Ceramic after their recent partnership announcement](https://medium.com/crustnetwork/crust-network-enables-truly-decentralized-file-storage-services-on-ceramic-network-60e7a94a59ed).

There was actually no reluctance from the agents to do this work. Given all the recent tiring man-hunt chasing and strange mushrooms appearing, this was something considered less strenuous and less stressful.

“Ok, so everything looks good. We have enhanced your pinning capability, through your pinning aggregator you now have CrustPinning. Obviously, your rationale for pinning is to ensure the important files are retained on respective Interplanetary File System (IPFS) nodes, which ultimately maintains access to the files your user's value,”  said Agent Q

“Furthermore, in comparison with your other pinning set-ups, with CrustPinning you are getting a fully decentralized pinning service which is directly interacting with Crust Blockchain. This is underpinned with the 8000 IPS nodes and 2000 PB storage volume. Overall you are getting one heck of a service at a great rate” said Agent L while pointing to the infographic on the projector. 

NOTE: it is important to note that it is not just all about chasing the bad guys, but also providing services that protect the good people of Web3.

On the way out of the back to the car, the agents bumped into an ex-colleague on the streets. 

Given they were both [football Fanz](https://medium.com/crustnetwork/strategic-partnership-announcement-crust-nft-x-fanz-cea233797f) (as discovered yesterday about L) the ex-colleague had owed Agent L some money on a wager and so decided to poney up with a token transfer. 

“Better late than never eh,” said a joyful Agent L as he got into the passenger side of the car. 

Being the renowned continuous saver at the agency Agent Q responded “Well, I think you may want to check your wallet to make sure”. 

Agent Q then started the car engine and began driving back to Crust HQ.

“All good with the tokens. I am feeling rich now. Going to check out the [Singular](https://singular.rmrk.app/) catalog to see if there is anything to spend it on” mentioned Agent L. 

Agent Q just smiled and continued with eyes on the road.
 
As Agent L started browsing, the car radio automatically turned on, and out came some funky electronic tune. 

The mystical mirror appeared in the car windscreen, and suddenly the car took off and elevated off the ground and was strangely flying.

The car was hurtling up higher and higher in the blue sky until the clouds became more profound. 

The clouds then started to re-shape form into the shape of castles in the center of the castle there was this tree-like mushroom (the similar shape to the forest mushrooms seen a few days ago). 

Then a rainbow formed between the towers of the castle, this was followed by some mushrooms with two eyes that were flying.

“You are in the Sky Kingdom, where the sky is the mediator between the earth and the cosmos. We have been talking to the Forest Mushrooms as they are high up and they said you are art dealers. So we are going to set you a challenge to guess the artwork based on the sections we provide you.” said the sky mushrooms.

The illustrations started appearing one by one and the Agents answered correctly every time. It is quite obvious by now that not only were our agents awesome, but they were avid followers of NFTs (including visionary art).
