• Round Two of the Kusama Spammening commenced at 16:00 UTC on 4th December 2024. This time, the community was enlisted to help initiate transactions through the Spammening dashboard. With 23 cores utilized, initial readings suggest a peak of 128,184 TPS, a world record for a live production network. Expect a more detailed analysis in the coming days.
• Shall we try spamming Snowbridge for Round Three? Bridging between Kusama and Ethereum is expected in H1 2025.
• Polkadot Blockchain Academy is now accepting applications for its campus program starting on 23rd March 2025, at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. Attendees can choose between the Protocol On-chain track, focusing on the Polkadot SDK, or the DApps Off-Chain track, which will cover the range of tooling available for app development on Polkadot.
• At the Parity company off-site this week, Karim Jedda, Birdo, Tiago Tavares, and Slava Ksendziuk took the hackathon prize for their AI-powered UI builder that can generate designs for any use case on Polkadot.
• Web3 consultancy project Magenta Labs is the latest recipient of a Web3 Foundation Decentralized Futures grant. Its goal is to scale up the Polkadot ecosystem through strategic business development, large-scale partnerships, and support emerging development projects.
• Ink! has released v.5.1 of its Polkadot smart-contract development toolkit, the first since the departure from Parity. New features include support for XCM in contracts and contract calls from the runtime.
• You will soon be able to invest in Polimec fundraises with Ethereum assets WETH, USDT, and USDC.
• A new entrant to the decentralized compute sector, PING, is building its incentivized network on Peaq. Initially, the PING network will be powered by proprietary DePIN gaming laptops built by ThundeRobot. The laptops are already available for pre-order, but upon launch will be purchasable with Peaq stablecoins.
• The Bistroo testnet, built on Peaq, is now live. You can now simulate online food orders using BIST tokens and the incentivized referral system.
• Acurast is teaming up with Cere Network to offer advanced data solutions by combining their decentralized compute services with Cere’s cloud-based data automation.
• At 00:00 UTC on December 3rd, Phala entered its 6th halving period. As a result, compute rewards on Phala and Khala have been reduced by 25%. Average staking rewards have dropped from ~16% to ~12% APR.

• As reported by Chainwire, Mandala Chain has secured $1M in pre-seed funding, with the round led by Harbour Industrial Capital, which runs a Polkadot ecosystem fund.
• With the passing of Integritee Referendum 43, the community has chosen to apply for a TEER listing in the Hydration Omnipool, utilizing $200k of liquidity from the deprecated future crowdloan pot.
