- According to Electric Capital’s latest annual developer report, Polkadot has the third-largest developer community in Web3.
- In his latest Polkadot Forum post, Shawn Tabrizi has proposed to bring Kusama back to its cypherpunk roots, embracing anonymity, activism, and a DIY ethos. His proposal includes the introduction of privacy-preserving ZK primitives, which could position Kusama as the ideal Web3 Cloud for the dark renaissance.

- CME Group is now publishing the CME CF Polkadot Reference Rate New York Variant daily, offering an additional layer of standardized and regulated pricing transparency to the DOT token.
- Velocity Labs releases v2.0 of its Turtle bridging DApp. Turtle now supports one-click token bridging from Ethereum to Hydration, Bifrost, Moonbeam, and Mythos. Thanks to an integration of Paraspell’s XCM SDK, cross-chain support between popular Polkadot parachains has also begun rolling out.
- Apillon announces its new cloud function service, powered by Acurast, which allows developers to tap into Acurast’s decentralized compute network to enhance their projects by running backend code on demand.
- ZkVerify is now integrated into the Hyperbridge testnet, bringing it one step closer to fully decentralized relaying of messages.
- Mandala has chosen Hyperbridge as its native bridge and will extend the reach of its native KPG token by adopting the Hyperbridge ERC6160 standard for multi-chain native tokens.

- Peaq announces the launch of its DePIN Enterprise Adoption Program, which aims to foster collaboration between businesses and more than 50 DePINs building on Peaq. The first five organizations to join are Bertelsmann Investments, Bosch, Deutsche Telekom MMS, Lufthansa Innovation Hub, and TUM School of Management. They will benefit from monthly Peaqosystem updates, strategy sessions, DePIN matchmaking, and access to mutually beneficial investment opportunities.
- Evrloot announces a pre-seed raise of $500k, with key contributors including Moonbeam, Arrington Capital, and Derek Yoo (Moonsong Labs).
- After a successful first phase, including 92 mints and the selling out of Citizens and High-born tiers, phase two of Evrloot Citizen minting is now live. The Citizen tier is available for minting at 299 GLMR and a very limited number of High-born tiers for 1199 GLMR. Low-born tier minting has been phased out.

- Polkadex has unveiled its 2.0 Roadmap with four major milestones for 2025. Cross-chain transfers are expected in Q1 with the integration of Hyperbridge, while high-frequency trading should be enabled by Q2. In Q3 and Q4 we will see barriers to entry lowered with the integration of EVM Wallets and credit card support for crypto purchases and sales.
- Nova Wallet has expanded its cross-chain transfer support of vDOT to include the Hydration and Moonbeam networks.
- Bifrost has begun the phased shutdown of the vFIL service. It has already ceased FIL deposits into Bifrost, and vFIL minting is expected to end by the end of the year. The final phase of the shutdown is expected to be completed in Q3 2025; however, users are recommended to complete vFIL redemption and cross-chain transfers of FIL by Q2 2025.
